It has gone up from almost Rs.1850bn (2000-2001) to almost Rs.2450bn (2004-2005), as per the report of Development Commissioner, SSI.

ANTONVENETA ACQUISITION

The Antonveneta acquisition is expected to add 1.5 million customers to ABN (the largest bank in the Netherlands), taking its number of customers to 20 million. ABN already controlled a 30% stake in Antonveneta, and the latest move will take its ownership up to a comfortable 69%.

MILLER SHOULD CONVINCE

Miller really has to take three hard decisions: First, Miller should convince GM to rescue Delphi; given the legacy they hold. If that fails, he should follow the examples of airline companies in the US and file for bankruptcy to get the UAW off his back. That will provide temporary respite. But in the long run, Miller can salvage Delphi only if he can drastically reduce the company’s dependence on Detroit and find new buyers in Asia.
