It gave Russia more than $20bn from 1992 to 1996, in a way that the impractical state directed policies could do further damage. It got contented only after the De La Rua government in Argentina slashed essential spending and ruthlessly increased taxes, driving 30% of the population below the poverty line.

New Orleans Community (IIPM-Press Article)

Malcolm Suber, a longtime New Orleans community activist, was shocked to learn that thousands of livable homes were sitting empty. “If there are empty houses in the city,” he says, “then working-class and poor people should be able to live in them.” According to Suber, taking over vacant units would do more than provide much-needed immediate shelter - It would move significant number of poor residents back into the city, preventing the key decisions about its future from being made exclusively by those who can afford land on high ground. “We have the right to fully participate in the reconstruction of our city,” Suber says. “And that can only happen if we are back inside.”

A Device which Processes Data and Information (IIPM-Press Article)

No computer – a device which processes data and information according to a set of instructions or program – is yet capable of independently and autonomously augmenting information with intent. In short, at present, human beings are required to create and apply knowledge, and although they may be invaluable in the manipulation and delivery of data, information and knowledge, computers are of no help at all vis-à-vis the creation of knowledge.

Sirleaf and Civil War (IIPM-Business and economy Article)

The world has to strongly support Sirleaf because Sirleaf does manage to steer Liberia towards stability and peace, there would be hope for the dozens of other African nations that have descended into dictatorship, ethnic strife and civil war.
