3... 2..1. FIRE!!!

COMING SOON, WAR FOR OCEANS...
The wars that have marked human history have had the signature of contests for scarce resources. And as resources deplete in the land, new frontiers are being opened for geo-political contests. The most likely happens to be the vast oceans that remain virtually entirely unconquered. It has been estimated that oceans have tremendous sources of energy and metallic remains within them that lie scattered on the abyssal plains. The poly metallic nodules within these oceans contain rich metallic remains of manganese, nickel, copper, iron and cobalt within them; some credible estimates put these to be around a smashing 500 billion tonnes. Not surprisingly, spread in almost all the oceans of the world, these metallic remains are most likely to be the sources of serious confrontations and contests (even wars) as technology develops for extracting them.
