eless chip-maker, Broadcom Corp., has finally managed to win the patent infringement case over digital video compressing against rival Qualcomm Inc. The verdict was declared by a US District Court jury after six hours of deliberation. The suit was filed 1.5 years ago, when Broadcom was accused of infringing on two of Qualcomm’s patents in chip making that power Apple’s video iPods and other digital equipments. This is Broadcom’s second win against Qualcomm on the issue of intellectual property rights.
